Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Southern Sisters - Reserve Riesling
Clare Valley, South Australia
Straw colours with green tints, the southern Sisters 2006 Reserve Riesling displays characteristic lemon / lime fruit with steely acidity. A zingy palate with balanced floral flavous that include fennel, grapefruit and citrus.
Characteristic of Clare Rieslings is a hint of mineral which is derived from the vines being grown on loam over limestone. This style will age nicely producing complex honey toast aromas and flavours. Great wine with oysters & fish.
